Mums Cultivating Calm Use the Law of Attraction Secrets.
Aaaah! The trials and tribulations of life’s juggling act. Bravo to mums for being able to balance every day tasks like: ferrying children to school, soccer practice, getting to and from work, helping with homework, and the routine kiss and “tuck me in Mum” to children each night.
Last thing at night before sleeping, we mothers lie our beds going over our day, unless we’ve fallen into bed so exhausted that we’re asleep before our heads hit the pillow – wondering about how tomorrow could flow better. How do I actively listen when Nirah wants to share her school experiences of the day, while my mind keeps wandering off onto ‘what’s for dinner’. How could I be more emotionally supportive of Xavier when he yells at his sisters? I find that as a mother I am constantly ask myself: how we can improve my mothering skills.
Ok, so as mums are we accomplished multi tasking gymnasts when we devote little time to nurturing ourselves? How much time do we really spend connecting to our inner selves…. In my case, not enough.
By instinct, mothers are nurturers - but when do we take time out of our hectic lives to nurture ourselves?
For many of us mums, we put on a red cape upon rising every morning to be: super mums in our own specific way, but get it muddled up by leaving our underpants on the outside. I for one, began seeing how I was putting more than my underpants on the outside. I was wearing my daughters nickers and was wondering why I couldn’t get them on. This is when I realized that I needed to find a sense of calm, an inner peace and be capable of striking a balance between all the responsibilities in my life.
Here are 10 Top Self Confidence Tips for Mum’s using Law of Attraction Secrets for cultivating calm that I have found helpful:
1. Sleep is not over rated. Getting 8 hours of peaceful rest at night is the key to starting the day refreshed.
2. Meditating for a minimum of 10 minutes each day gives time to relax the body and refocus the mind.
3. Getting out in the fresh air. Focus on breathing. Consciously take 25 breaths in and out, concentrating on releasing tension and stress with each out breath. Fee your body relax a little more on each out breath. Do this daily.
4. We attract what we focus on – so if you allow yourself to get distracted by the trivial daily issues (getting wound up by fighting children), this is where you’ll stay stuck (wound up) for the rest of the day.
5. Be grateful. Appreciate each of life’s moments and appreciate your children for being who they are.
6. Make time for experiencing stillness every day. This may be through sitting quietly during your coffee break, jogging, yoga, or immersing yourself in a good book.
7. Be patient with yourself and your family. We are after all, human. Forgive and move on.
8. Realize that we all have the power to choose. We can choose to laugh at life’s small hiccups or we can choose to let our stress feed them, blowing them out of all proportion. And you know what happens next…
9. Yoga is great for fat loss, metabolic health, spinal health, self-esteem and is excellent for focusing on the moment. Attend a yoga class weekly and reap the benefits to your well being.
10. Laugh! Yes, you’ve heard it before… Laughter really is the best medicine. Your body gets a dose of all those feel good endorphins.
Share your beauty and grace with the world by using these very simple and practical tips daily and cultivate calm, love and happiness in your life.
