Fear V Freedom

How the Law of Attraction is the Secret to YouToday is much like any other day, with the exception of that today, on this very day the universe has brought together all the necessary elements through the law of attraction to one central pivotal point in time and space.  For you see, the universal stage has been set to allow a transformation to occur.  All the players are converging – the people, the events: past and present. What happens next determines the future, not only for myself but for everyone who is involved in a situation that has come about by the law of attraction magnetically pulling us all together.

Fear V Freedom… a fight to the death.  A slaying of fear. And freedom.  Freedom from limiting beliefs that had held me emotionally captive to want and despair.  I used to wonder who I was. I used to wonder who I had become.  Today I know who I am, what I want for my life and how I’m going to get there.

My heart is no longer slumbering. It’s bursting with love and joy for life.  And that’s exactly what I’m attracting to myself.  The universe is matching my hearts desires. What I’ve wished for is manifesting right here, right now.  Wow!

We are all so powerful.  We can make anything happen.  And we do.  All through the law of attraction.  Before I began consciously and deliberately living my life I used to think that everyone else was the cause of my personal anguish and pain.  What a wake up call learning about the law of attraction has been.  It has set me free to be me.  I feel as if my heart and mind are entwined, that love is washing over me.

The law of attraction is a deep and wondrous thing reminding me that the universes heart has been calling to me in a million ways: in the cuddles from my children, when all is quite and the rainforest whispers comfort on the gentle breeze, in the caress of the oceans waves, soft words that touch me when I cannot speak, the noon day sun, in my strong resolution for inner peace…

When I look around I can see how the law of attraction is the secret to me.

Skincare and Beauty

THE SECRET - Beauty & Skincare for a Bikini Beautiful Body

Embrace the heat and get glowing from top to toe for the hottest body ever.  Shed your winter skin and be bikini beautiful with soft, supple hydrated limbs within minutes.

  • Buff your body and smooth your skin.

Exfoliation helps prevent blocked pores and breakouts,  promotes even skin tone and it keeps your body soft, hydrated and protected from the harsh summer environment.  It’s advised to exfoliate your body between two and three times a week.  There is no one best method of exfoliation, but, for a quick and easy option, try an exfoliating body wash.

When it comes to selecting the right exfoliating skincare product look for things like scrubs and roll-on peels, and use friction to remove the dead skin cells.  If you have any body acne, exfoliating skincare products like these can spread the infection and make the acne worse, not better.  Go for something such as chemical exfoliants that contain alpha and beta hydroxy acids which break down the skin cells instead.

  • Boost your skins hydration.

Dry skin is screaming out for moisture, especially over the summer months.  By moisturizing regularly, you are helping stabilize your body’s moisture barrier, and prevents your skin from drying out.  To assure that your body is adequately moisturized, apply moisturizer from top to toe every day after showering and pay particular attention to dry areas like elbows and knees.

Choose a moisturizing skin care product that matches your skin type as well as one that contains ingredients that protect and offer long lasting hydration, such as shea butter, vitamin E, almond oil and ginkgo extract.

  • Fight Cellulite.

Crumpet thighs are not a good look in a swimsuit.  There is however, no need to worry, as you’re not alone – 7 out of 10 women have cellulite, irrespective of weight or dress size.  Cellulite is basically related to genetic factors, stress, poor circulation and an overall lack of fitness.  Also impaired lymphatic drainage, changes in your hormonal system, like menopause can play a part in women having cellulite.

Cellulite can be difficult to get rid of. You can however, take some simple measures to treat this common beauty problem.  Drinking lots of water, exercising, eating well, and massaging daily with anti-cellulite products or firming body oils will help.  Another great tip is to dry brush daily as it can aid in stimulating a sluggish lymphatic system and promote improved circulation.

With these 3 simple steps you’ll be bikini beautiful in no time.

Is Bitching The New Female Bonding…

FriendsDo you have a female friend who seems to only connect when they’re moaning about how bad their life is?  It could be killing your friendship.

A few years ago, I became super tight with a woman at work.  We spoke every day, spent nearly every weekend together and pretty much shared everything.  It was peachy except for one thing.  When we were together, all we did was complain.  We clung on to each other, not for support, more for the comfort of commiseration.  A problem shared is a problem halved,  or is it?

Bonding over negatives may be one way to connect, but it sure isn’t healthy.  Excessively talking about problems with fellow drama queens is so common in fact that researchers have given it a name: “co-rumination” and it can have some really nasty consequences.

Studies done by the University of Missouri-Columbia have found that bitching about life only exacerbates problems, and contributes to anxiety and depression.  Also being this immersed in conversations with female friends about what you see as missing in your life can stunt other relationships, career aspirations and self-confidence.

Co-rumination it appears is often centered on things like boyfriend trouble, office politics, and frequently body issues like being overweight.  And there is no denying that when women get together, the conversation degenerates into talking about who’s skimpy shorts don’t fit anymore.  In some circles, “fat chat” is not only talk it’s a requirement.

Women are likely to engage in behavior that mirrors their other female friends. It’s a way of fitting in and being accepted.  And in these situations, it’s misery that becomes the bonding experience.  It’s also how women have been taught to interact. We have been raised to commiserate over negatives and to be wary of women who look good and feel great about themselves.  She somehow is the enemy and represents competition not friendship material.

More often than not, a friendship that is built on drama or negativity is simply not sustainable – the connection may only last for as long as both friends are willing to play at being victims in their lives.  Say, if female friends commiserate over being overweight, it will soothe them and make them feel that they are in it together, but once one of them drops five kilos or so, it becomes another story.  Jealousy, and a sense of betrayal are some of the feelings that can surface when a friend is seen as no longer being a part of the “suffering crowd.”

No-one should ever turn their back on a friend in need.  Expressing hurt, fear, anger, disappointment is natural and necessary at times.  However, when there is little else going on in this relationship, then there is a problem.

There are some very simple steps that counter negative talk and promote healthy friendships -

  • Redirect the conversation and keep the mood light and positive.  Compliment your friends.
  • Focus on yourself and your own health rather than comparing yourself and your life to that of your friends.
  • Encourage your friends to make healthier life choices.
  • Say something positive about yourself and your friends instead of saying something negative.

Don’t waste time and energy on negativity. Have realistic standards and positive attitudes towards yourself and get out there and enjoy your life!

What is Visualization?

VisualizationVisualization is quite simply using your imagination. You create a scenario in your mind, just like a day dream and imagine yourself as part of it. It’s important to know that people visualize differently. Some peoples’ visual clarity is vibrant, full of color and as real as everyday life. For many others, when they close their eyes, they see darkness. This is completely normal, there isn’t anything wrong with these people, and it certainly does not mean that they can’t visualize. It’s just that they visualize at a deeper part of the mind, a part that they can’t mentally ’see’ when they are awake. But pretty much everyone has woken up after having a dream and can recall pictures of what they were dreaming about. This proves that everyone certainly has the ability to visualize, just like everyone else. Again, it’s just that it happens on a different level of consciousness that isn’t normally seen while you are awake. Even though the pictures may not be seen, they are still there, and most people can “feel” that the picture is there and at some level are aware of it. The good news is that the more you practise, the more likely you are to start seeing those pictures with greater clarity and awareness.

The key thing to realize about your mind is that it doesn’t think in words. You mind actually uses visual imagery to communicate or think. We can use visualization as method for directly communicating with our mind. By imagining something as vividly as possible it’s sends a clear message to your mind, directing it’s inner resources to make your dreams a reality.

Why does Visualization work?

Visualization works because the mind doesn’t really know the difference between regular waking reality, dreams or consciously directed visualization. The mind understands all of these experiences as if it were a true waking experience. We use our conscious selves to determine the difference between normal waking reality and the dream world, but to the subconscious mind, they are one and the same. Think of visualizing as a mental practice that over time will enable you to perform the visualized acts in real everyday life. So if we use this powerful visualizing ability that we all possess, we are utilizing all of our inner resources to help us succeed. At the very least, no one can claim that visualizing hinders a performance, so there certainly isn’t any harm in it. Please keep an open mind and give it a try as we go through the exercises.

How to make Visualization extremely effective

There are some things to be aware of about visualizing that will improve it’s overall effectiveness. To make sure that your visualization is as effective as possible, we have to make it as sensory intensive as possible. This means that visualizing should include much more than just visual stimulation. We also want to imagine our other senses; touch, smell, hearing and taste. The more senses included in the experience, the more believable the experience will appear to your mind, improving it’s effectiveness. Think of it as if we are trying to recreate reality within our minds, in a way fooling ourselves into thinking that we truly had the experience. The advantage in working with visualization reality over normal reality is that we get to write the script ourselves, allowing us to create a senario precisely the way we want it to be.

Include yourself in the visualization

So what is the one thing that is always present in all of your waking life experiences? It’s you! You are always there, always present during any of your experiences. So this means that we also want to include ourselves in the visualization process. Sometimes we can get caught up in visualizing a goal, we create a visual movie complete with smells, audio etc. but we forget to include ourselves in the picture. So remember to also include yourself when you are doing your visualizations. It makes it more like a real experience that has happened to you in the past.

Now consider if you just visualize yourself in the movie as a passive character. Just there sensing what is going on around you. That really doesn’t include everything that you normally experience is it? Normally, while you are experiencing things in life, you are thinking about what it happening, reacting and feeling emotions. Well guess what? We want to include these as well. So when you create your visualizations be sure to include yourself acting, reacting, thinking about what you are experiencing.

The most powerful, and probably the most important thing about visualizaing is to really feel the emotions. I mean really intensely, don’t worry if it feels silly, or childish, just do it. If you are visualizing kissing a girl in the rain, don’t just experience the kiss itself, also feel the rain running through your hair. Feel the intensity of the emotions of that passionate kiss, really feel everything just as if you were really in that situation. I promise that the more energy you put into these visualizations the more success you will have in achieving your goals.

7 Helpful Secrets For Easily Keeping the Magic of Love Alive in Your Relationship

Keeping the Magic of Love Alive Whether you are wanting to attract a boyfriend or girlfriend, or are already in a committed relationship, there are some very simple tenets for having a satisfying love relationship.

Being realistic about what you want in a potential partner or in your present partner is essential. Each person is unique and a love relationship is a blending of two people, not a band-aid for trying to patch up each others shortcomings.

There is one tough fact about love relationships that one must bear in mind – They are unconditional. This simply means that you are the only person who is going to make yourself happy. Expecting that your girlfriend/boyfriend or husband/wife is going to fill all your emotional needs is a rather far fetched ideal and will not stand up in real life.

The best relationships are ones that build a deep connection between you both and where you are both accepted as the unique individuals that you are. And remember that love relationships are a work in progress!

Here are some things that you can do to keep the passion alive in your love relationship:

- Be kind to each other. Harshness and thoughtlessness undermine the relationship.
- Do not expect your partner to be perfect. You’re not.
- Laugh together.
- Surprise each other.
- Experience new things together for growth and bonding.
- Be playful.
- Strive to be the person you would want for a partner.

Keep the magic alive with these simple tips and you’ll see that your girlfriend/boyfriend or husband/wife only has eyes for you.

Mums Cultivating Calm Use the Law of Attraction Secrets.

Self Confidence Tips for WomenAaaah!  The trials and tribulations of life’s juggling act.  Bravo to mums for being able to balance every day tasks like: ferrying children to school, soccer practice, getting to and from work, helping with homework, and the routine kiss and “tuck me in Mum” to children each night.

Last thing at night before sleeping, we mothers lie our beds going over our day, unless we’ve fallen into bed so exhausted that we’re asleep before our heads hit the pillow – wondering about how tomorrow could flow better.   How do I actively listen when Nirah wants to share her school experiences of the day, while my mind keeps wandering off onto ‘what’s for dinner’.   How could I be more emotionally supportive of Xavier when he yells at his sisters?  I find that as a mother I am constantly ask myself:  how we can improve my  mothering skills.

Ok, so as mums are we accomplished multi tasking gymnasts when we devote little time to nurturing ourselves?  How much time do we really spend connecting to our inner selves…. In my case, not enough.

By instinct, mothers are nurturers -  but when do we take time out of our hectic lives to nurture ourselves?

For many of us mums, we put on a red cape upon rising every morning to be: super mums in our own specific way, but get it muddled up by leaving our underpants on the outside.  I for one, began seeing how I was putting more than my underpants on the outside.  I was wearing my daughters nickers and was wondering why I couldn’t get them on.  This is when I realized that I needed to find a sense of calm, an inner peace and be capable of striking a balance between all the responsibilities in my life.

Here are 10 Top Self Confidence Tips for Mum’s using Law of Attraction Secrets for cultivating calm that  I have found helpful:

1.  Sleep is not over rated.  Getting 8 hours of peaceful rest at night is the key to starting the day refreshed.

2.  Meditating for a minimum of 10 minutes each day gives time to relax the body and refocus the mind.

3. Getting out in the fresh air.  Focus on breathing.  Consciously take 25 breaths in and out, concentrating on releasing tension and stress with each out breath.  Fee your body relax a little more on each out breath.  Do this daily.

4.  We attract what we focus on – so if you allow yourself to get distracted by the trivial daily issues (getting wound up by fighting children), this is where you’ll stay stuck (wound up) for the rest of the day.

5.  Be grateful.  Appreciate each of life’s moments and appreciate your children for being who they are.

6.  Make time for experiencing stillness every day.  This may be through sitting quietly during your coffee break, jogging, yoga, or immersing yourself in a good book.

7. Be patient with yourself and your family.  We are after all, human.  Forgive and move on.

8.  Realize that we all have the power to choose.  We can choose to laugh at life’s small hiccups or we can choose to let our stress feed them, blowing them out of all proportion.  And you know what happens next…

9.  Yoga is great for fat loss, metabolic health, spinal health, self-esteem and is excellent for focusing on the moment.  Attend a yoga class weekly and reap the benefits to your well being.

10.  Laugh!  Yes, you’ve heard it before…  Laughter really is the best medicine.  Your body gets a dose of all those feel good endorphins.

Share your beauty and grace with the world by using these very simple and practical tips daily and cultivate calm, love and happiness in your life.
