Awaken The Avatar That is Within

“Another step is to start accessing the emotional parts of your brain that you may have disconnected from over the years.  Think of it as rediscovering the thin black leather tie you’ve been hiding since the 80’s.  The emotional side of your brain has a direct link into your unconscious, which is the thing that drives you in life.  So by blocking feelings you can end up being about as much in control as a government home insulation program.  We are emotional beings that think, not the other way around, so having a broadband connection to the emotional parts of your brain is essential.  People who believe that they can be totally logical in life and not influenced by emotions are sadly deluded.

So many people in our communities spend much of their childhood trying not to feel their emotions so they can survive what can be too much emotional pain.  Sadly this can continue into adulthood and cause havoc with every part of life.  The first step to reconnect with your emotional life is to identify and overcome fears.  People fear that if they start feeling emotions, they will become weak, lose control, or that they won’t know how to turn them off again.  These fears are not based in reality.  In fact, not connecting with and expressing emotions can end up causing you to lose control in the end.  So whether it is expressing sadness, pain or anger, emotions need to flow like a warm pulsating gush from a big wet douching.  It will also give you that secure feeling that when things get going in life, there will be no nasty surprises waiting for you when it’s least needed!”   Paul Martin, the Principal Psychologist at the Centre for Human Potential.  His words beautifully compliments the following clip from the Avatar Movie.  So please read the article before watching the Avatar Movie…
